BRIEF HISTORY of COLONY
The New Hampshire Colony had a very long history which many events occurred during the time period of becoming a colony and establishing as part of the 13 Colonies. The colony known today as New Hampshire, the state, was founded by John Mason in 1622 at the mouth of the Piscataqua River. As every colony it had its ups and downs but had a great role as being a colony. When it was first founded as a corporate colony but eventually changed into a royal colony. It was originally part of Massachusetts but then separated in 1679 by the King and joined and separated many times in 1686 and 1691. New Hampshire was founded mainly for the prospect of money after many slow years of little gain in initial success Mason's heir's and other founders heir's argued upon land and for hundreds of years they finally settled there claim.
